About the project
TERWA is an international company specializing in the development and production of technical systems for the construction and precast concrete industries. Its portfolio includes lifting and anchoring systems, fixing solutions, sandwich panel systems and other components used throughout the design, production, transportation and installation of precast concrete elements.
TERWA Service Portal is a technical digital platform developed for engineers, designers, precast factories and construction companies, bringing together the tools required to design and calculate TERWA solutions within a single system.
MULTIDIMENSION contributes to the development and evolution of the TERWA Service Portal, with major developments and improvements to the technical calculation modules used for sandwich panel design and precast element lifting systems.
An important component of the project is the sandwich panel module, where the correct dimensioning of anchoring systems requires the simultaneous analysis of panel geometry, concrete and insulation layers, anchor positioning and the different loads acting on the element.
MULTIDIMENSION implemented major developments to the thermal calculation and wind calculation components, extending and adapting the logic used by the platform to determine the effects of temperature variations and wind loads on sandwich panels. These calculations are integrated into the design process and contribute to determining the configuration and loads of the anchoring systems.
Another major area of development is the Lifting Module, designed to calculate and configure solutions for lifting and handling precast concrete elements. The module takes into account element characteristics, weight, geometry, anchor positioning and quantity, lifting conditions and other technical parameters required throughout the dimensioning process.
The platform enables users to generate engineering calculations and project drawings, manage technical documentation and work with different TERWA systems through a unified digital workflow. Engineering processes involving numerous parameters and calculation rules are therefore transformed into interactive software tools that can be used directly during precast element design.
TERWA Service Portal is an example of the digitalization of engineering processes within the construction industry, where software development and advanced structural and technical calculation rules are integrated into a specialized platform for designing and verifying solutions used in precast construction.
